Dr Spences didn´t invent the microwave on purpose. He invented it by mistake! One day Dr Spencer started an experiment in is laboratory but he didn´t finish it. This is why Dr Spencer loved sweets and that day he had a peanut chocolate bar in his jacket pocket. Suddenly the chocolate melted. He was very surprised because it wasn´t a hot day. Dr Spencer didn´t have any more chocolates so he sent a lab technician out to the shop on the corner. the shop didn´t sell chocolates but it sold popcorn. The technician bought a packet for Dr Spencer. When he came back to the lavatory, Dr Spencer put the popcorn near the experiment. The popcorn popped!. Then, he tried with an egg near the experiment. the egg cooked in seconds! Dr Spencer was very excited. He immediately stopped his original experiment. He made a microwave oven!!! Now most people have got a microwave in their kitchen at home.
